That’s because all you really want is to be home, surrounded by your things, familiar smells, and your family (well, maybe not in that order). So it’s not a bad idea to include in your go-bag a few comforts from home to help you keep your sanity. For me, being able to maintain my chemical-free life is very important. So I added a few extra items to my go-bag that will help my family and me do just that.

While I normally don’t use shampoo, I don’t know what situation I might find myself in if I’m forced to evacuate. So it’s not a bad idea to have an all-natural shampoo/conditioner as an option, just in case.

One bottle of this hand purifier already comes in the travel pack. However, one bottle is not enough for me. So I get the purifier in a 3-pack, that would give me four bottles—two for my go-bag and two for Judah’s. What makes this sanitizer different from other waterless hand purifiers?
Most commercial sanitizers use Ethyl or Isopropyl Alcohol—neither one is ingestable. But the ingredients in the Thieves hand purifier are safe to put on your skin and to ingest—that’s because they are plant-derived. Not that I recommend eating or drinking it, but it’s a comfort to know that what I put on my skin will kill the bacteria and not me.
This little bottle of sanitizer is super convenient. You can throw it in your purse or go-bag. It’s perfect for freshening up whatever space I find myself in. I love using this on touch-areas in public places—bathrooms, airplanes, even shopping carts—so I definitely want to make sure that both Judah and I have one in our go-bags.
In addition to these items, you may also want to make sure you have some sample packets of Thieves Household Cleaner, as well as your favorite essential oils. My go-to oils in my go-bag are Lavender and Clarity.
