I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last few weeks and talking about how I use my Premium Starter Kit every day. From the time I get up in the morning to the time I get ready for bed, my PSK supports everything I do. Whether it’s breakfast, a workout, my work day; whether I am stuck in traffic, preparing dinner, or I am trying to focus on my personal study, the oils give me what my body and mind need no matter what the task.
Young Living has many more products that help me emotionally, hormonally, or mentally. Below is a list of my top ten essential oils, outside of the PSK, that I highly recommend for you to try.
Cedarwood ($11.50 for 15ml) I usually use this together with Lavender, but it’s just as effective on its own. It helps me relax so I can sleep. It’s also really good for my hair. It enhances circulation, stimulates healthy growth, and can even reduce thinning or hair loss. It also makes it so shiny!
Northern Lights Black Spruce ($24.50 for 5ml; $47.50 for 15ml) Hands down, one of my favorite oils. It’s woodsy, grounding, calming. It’s fantastic as part of a beauty regimen, but I honestly just love to diffuse it. It’s harvested from Young Living’s Northern Lights Farm in British Columbia, Canada from trees that are exposed to the northern lights—the energy is off the charts!
Clary Sage ($48.75 for 15ml) One of the components of this oil is sclareol, which mimics the effects of estrogen in the body. So this oil is a fantastic tool for any woman who is needing hormonal support. Since I am going through the change, I’ve been using it to help reduce my hot flashes as well as applying it to the bottoms of my feet before bed to help me sleep. It’s also excellent for stress reduction and reducing feelings of anxiety.
Copaiba ($44.25 for 15ml) Good for overall wellness. Add to any other essential oil to increase its strength and effectiveness.
Elemi ($21.75 for 15 ml) The poor man’s Frankincense. The energy properties are very similar to frank, and I highly recommend adding it to your skin care routine. Or just diffuse for its woodsy aroma.
Rutavala Roll-on ($36.75 for 10 ml) A blend of Ruta, Valerian, and Lavender—three essential oils well known to promote relaxation and help you sleep. If you’re having trouble getting a good night’s rest then this is the blend for you.
DeepRelief Roll-on ($27.50 for 10ml) I use this blend all the time. Since it comes in a roll-on, it’s so convenient to apply to whatever ails you, whenever it hurts. I like to use it on my joints—especially my fingers and knees—after a long day at work.
Rosemary ($16.00 for 15ml) I diffuse this whenever I need a little extra brain power because it promotes clarity and focus. If you ever find yourself with “squirrel brain,” you may want to try diffusing this oil.
Purification ($15.75 for 5 ml; $27.00 for 15ml) Cooking smells be-gone with this blend of Citronella, Lavender, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Myrtle, and Tea Tree. It’s also great if your just wanting to keep the air around you clean.
Tea Tree ($26.75 for 15ml) If you have oily skin, or tend to break out, this is a wonderful cleansing oil that you should include in your beauty regimen. I also use it to dry up fever blisters or zits. You can also diffuse it when you have a cold to help keep mucus under control.
And if you want to get an oil for the man in your life, try Shutran ($77.25 for 15ml). It’s specially formulated for men to boost feelings of masculinity and confidence. I love when Judah wears it as a cologne, and apparently so do other women because everywhere he goes they want to know why he smells so good.
So there you have it, my top ten essential oils to use outside of the PSK. There are so many more that I use regularly, but these are the ones I keep stocked at all times. But as you can see, I haven’t even mentioned the Vitality line – the oils I cook with almost every day. I also haven’t mentioned the supplements I get through Young Living or the rest of the Thieves home cleaning products.
Young Living has made it possible for me to do all the things I have to do, want to do, and love to do completely chemical free. If you would like to learn more about how essential oils can help you, feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you and help you get started on your chemical-free journey.
